Notre génération est entrée de vivre beaucoup de changements : vitesse extrême, sensations extrêmes, performances extrêmes, il me semble que tout tend à l’extrême de nos jours, peut-être par compensation pour le vide que laisse le manque de référence à Dieu. Personne n’invoque le nom de l’Eternel et nul ne se réveille pour recourir à Lui. N’est-ce pas le cas de beaucoup de nos jours qui vivent comme si Dieu n’existait pas ? Et même nous croyants, nous risquons de nous assoupir, de nous laisser aller à l’indifférence et de nous enfermer dans le seul horizon terrestre. Prenons garde alors de ne pas nous laisser endormir par la société luxuriante qui est la nôtre, forte en consommation d’alcool, de sexe et de spectacles, mais oublieuse de valeurs nobles qu’enseigne la Bonne Nouvelle du Salut en Jésus-Christ. Heureusement, Jésus est bien venu ! C’est une Bonne Nouvelle ! Le monde ne va pas à sa perte, la lumière est là, la vie nous est rendue par sa vérité, et la joie de vivre par l’espérance qu’Il incarne.
